haha Great minds think alike! Already ahead of you man!

Just sent this 20 mins ago over to Mark:

Curious with the threat of severe thunderstorms, will the garages remain open and will we all be able to take shelter in the garages? Not sure how many cars are registered vs how many garage bays are available.

Company A and B won't get garages initially. Both A and B will line up outside on the grid ready to enter pit road. But certainly we will get garage spots after the first run, at least that's how it been in years past...I think that is what you meant, Tim.

Everyone is an LSU fan to get out of the sun, and even bigger LSU fan to get out of the rain.

Not necessary Mike. Special situation here calling for special attention. I am working closely with Mark and he is working close with the track all this week. He is like me and preparing for worst case scenarios.

Just got this:
Yes the garage bays will be open.

We have room for 93 cars, We have 125 registrants.

With pending rain there may be no shows too.

I am talking with the Track all this week to have a plan B, C and D.

I was talking dry conditions or light rain, you are talking of more dramatic weather conditions. Glad they are working on contingency plans. Appreciate the updates, Jeff.

Nope pretty sure the logic right now is....pray....PRAY we can get a few sessions off where they will allow us to be on track. From the way Iam interpreting it...if its raining that bad that they need dryers...they are not going to let us run at all. SAD AS THAT IS. This isn't like Nascar, if they feel its dangerous at all, I doubt we'll be let loose on the track.

Yes sir exactly. I knew we would line up outside the garages since we go out first and in our case we might be the lucky ones to run in dry conditions. If that is the case we should come back and get garage spaces till our next group goes out. But again with no shows because of the weather we should get garage stalls no matter what.

The LSU quote is spot on...

i just spent a week in Florida where the possibility was between 60 to 90 % every day. we typically had great weather until 1-2 and then afternoon thunderstorms.

Good idea Jeff.

If there's a silver lining here with the shatty weather forecast - I was told by professional photographer at Road America that track pictures taken in the rain turn out very nice because everything has that shiney wet look.

Tim, bring your rain lens.

also ... since many of us are running together for the 4th & 5th year we should spend some time on Friday afternoon thinking about our running order within group on Saturday.

Excellent idea Clint! I agree! We can then quickly lineup and stage the way we want to. If for some reason they try to throw a monkey wrench at us such as include other non corvetteforum cars, we can try our best to move ahead of them and force them to the back. I think the key will be to get out of the garages as fast as possible and lineup together.

We also need a plan in place for the youngest and of legal age to hike to Walmart in the case we run low on beers! It won’t take long to figure a running order but walking to Wally World might
