Do you have the bill number that is being pushed that the plate is attached too? I'm in the process of writing a email to our Rep down in District 57 but would like to put as much information in the email so it doesnt get shrugged off. The more informed the email is I feel makes it easier for them to find the bill and get behind it for us. I've also got a few corvette buddies here as well that would send an email too.

No bill # yet but I expect some info this week from my representative. I will let you know as soon as I get that info. His name is Don Hahnfeldt and he represents District #33

Sounds good. Once you get the details I'll post a copy of the email I sent, and a link to the where people can find there local reps to send the email to. The more district reps we have supporting the bill the better. During the online poker push emails were sent to the Governor, Attorney General, State Senator, and State Representative. The more bugs we put in peoples ears that we're interested in this being pushed the better.

Yes, that would be great. I'm told that the bill has to go through 2 sub-committees before it can reach the floor. So, it seems these committees hold the fate of the bill. It's been indicated to me that if it does go through the 2 and reaches a vote, it will pass. I'm currently waiting to see what 2 sub-committees the proposed will will land. More to follow!!

I am totally on board with your efforts. I just emailed my State Rep asking for him to support Don Hahnfeldt on getting a Corvette specialty license plate for the State of Florida. Thanks for you efforts on this.

I'm working with our state rep. to apply for a Florida Corvette Specialty Plate. In order to get one you have to go through the state legislature.
So, we're almost there just waiting to hear from my state rep as to what bill # etc. It has to pass 2 sub committees to get to the floor and a vote.
Already have a design the guys at GM Corvette did for us. We're getting close!!!

You have to get a bill passed first, then you have to have 1000 pre sold orders for the plate, then they will make the plate.

All Florida speciality plates donate some portion of the plate expense to an organization which the plate represents. Where would the Corvette plate portion be donated? The Corvette Museum for an example.

It is with a very heavy heart that I report that Don Hahnfeldt, The representative that was sponsoring our specialty plate bill, died suddenly here in The Villages, Florida. We are all in a state of shock and deeply saddened. He was a great guy and the VERY FIRST politician, state or national, that I could honestly say I was proud that he represented me and my family. These guys and women are so few and far between it is terrible to know he is no longer with us.

Needs to benefit a non profit. This idea doesn't sound likely to happen. OP is even doubtful.
