I leaving around 2PM on that Friday. I think it is about 100 miles from Hollywood/ Ft. Lauderdale, but the last 40 or so is 2 lane US-1. It is a beautiful drive, but allow enough time considering you might (and I usually do) get caught behind a semi or a sightseeing minivan. Those passing zones seem so far apart when you are stuck behind slow moving traffic.

I'm leaving the Port Charlotte area around 11am. I'm figuring 4 hour trip. There will only be 2 cars in our group. Does anyone know what time we can check in the hotel? I know I could call, but figured someone would know here. I guess it's not too big a deal. I can just have a cold one at the tiki hut! :D My room is close to there, at least within crawling distance! :jester
