I'm a sucker for a Torch Red C7. Especially a ZR1 with BAW, and M7. Perfect setup.

Yeah, sucks to be "up North" for about four months out of twelve --- but we get used to it. There are some advantages to living here as well: low traffic density, lots of open roads, easy access to just about anything, Summer and Fall are almost always terrific ...

Good conversation, as many have said, there is no perfect situation. We go between Westchester County NY and Jupiter FL (still working). South Florida weather can be a real challenge June through October with oppressive heat / humidity, tons of rain and the hurricane threats (2 years in a row in 2016 & 2017). During this same period the weather up north is generally nice. Around November, the situation swaps, with the weather up north turning cold and nasty, while Fla gets comfortable and dry.
At one point I thought I could retire in Fla and sell our house up north, but current thinking is I cant / don't want to deal with the June / October Fla conditions. Time will tell.

Going between Florida and Michigan there is no one good place. It all depends when and where you are. West Michigan has great weather a few months a year. Lots of Car events on both the West and East side of the state. Starting that car in Spring is almost as good as getting a new car. Florida has more construction, crazy drivers and traffic. There are frosty days like today or rain so no cup tires. Good roads can be found outside the city Make the best of where you are and enjoy the car Many people would love to have it no matter where they are at!

There is a lot to be said for warmer temperatures but in East Tn. one can find 315 curves in 11 miles. In Fl. it is usually 11 curves in 315 miles. Just sayin'...

sorry to hear that. Thought it was just me, the spaces are narrower. Seems people don’t have much respect for vechiles at times :/

I would propose that Corvettes are happiest on roads like this, which cannot be found in Florida:

Living in Florida we basically get to play with our toys 365 days out of the year. I can't imagine living where you are confined to maybe six months out of the year for your ZR1 due to snow and salt on the roadways. Snow in Florida? No way! Maybe a hurricane ever now and then but its definitely a corvette's paradise. How cold is it where you are? Do you have snow limiting your fun with the ZR1?

The great thing about traveling in a corvette is that it is a whole lotta fun. One can go north, south, east and west to take in the whole, beautiful country while traveling in style!

Or winter tools to make the job easier, but just because I have all the required tools, doesn't mean I like having to use them!

I live in St. Petersburg...the forecast highs for Fri, Sat, and Sunday are 73, 76, and 74...it is fair to say you can daily drive your sports car here...Temps can get colder...New Years Day can see anywhere from around 30s to 70s depending on what Canada sends the US via cold fronts.
The bottom line is that weather in Tampa Bay and South of here is very Sports Car friendly. Also, there is no state income tax here...so that may help some to decide to at least visit Florida...Visit in January, or in February...when it is colder North of here...if you do, look me up. It would be a pleasure to meet and visit.
I came from suburban St. Paul in 1995...and I am happy I moved...

Why do we get these posts about once a week from someone who lives in Florida thinking that they live in Eden? I personally would not want to live there, I in fact ENJOY the change of seasons & do not want to live in a humid inferno for 8 months out of 12...count me OUT
