Default DBR High Performance Thumbs Up

Just moved from Cali to TN. Took my 02 Z06 in for retune.

Cali tune was performed by Matt Gower at GPX Tuning so supposed to be a legit tuner. Car made 610 on STD. After dyno and street tune at DBR the car made 650 on SAE. With the conversion from STD to SAE measurement this was a really significant increase!

Dyno numbers discounted the power curve feels much better and the car pulls harder through every gear. Definite SOTP difference! Not only that but they patiently answered all my questions about future work on both the Z and my V. Additionally idle quality was much better and more stable.

so you got your car re tuned on 93 instead of 91 and made more power...

matt has tuned not only mine, but ALL of my friends and shop cars since 2013 and we hold multiple record, speed records and 1/4 records with his tuning with not one single issues from tuning, in fact his tuning has probably saved most of our cars from how hard we push them. Matt is probably the wrong guy to bash on here, because i don’t need 1 finger to count how many people that have had a bad experience or an issue with his tuning, products, or customer service. And I’m sure more people will comment to prove otherwise as well.

yea ummmm he tuned on STD vs SAE. if you take out the correction factor variance and the 500 ft of elevation change I picked up 70 at the wheels from 91 to 93 and keep in mind I'm on meth so octane shouldn't have been that huge.

Also, he returned the car to me with all the dashboard lights flashing on and off for a minute every time I started the car and the ac compressor cycling on and off at idle because he never bothered to tune ac for the cam but yea great tuner.

Also when I looked at the file Matt put on the car my timing was the same at every rpm and every boost level. So yea the timing he used to keep the car safe at wot was the same timing I had at off idle on no boost.

+1 for DBR!

Before I got rid of my C6, they did all of my work also. GREAT SHOP, can't recommend them enough. You just need to take a quick look at their FB page to see that we're not alone.
If you're in the Middle TN area, you really should consider DBR.

personally I didn't see any bashing at all from the o/p post . as for 91 vs 93 power gains are minimal but knock retard is higher. and as for records Dbr races in drag week with their own shop built car. finished 1 in their class and 3rd overall. any chance you racer in anything even close to that quality of racing? drive your car for a week towing a trailer and race every day into the low 7's? doubt it. before knocking on Dbr you might look to what the owner/tuner has done and the quality of his shop

interesting point you make, you say you don’t see any bashing here, but then you say you see bashing in my response? I never discredited the other shop. Simply backed Matt. And yes, we actually have won 6 speed class at shift sector, RWD class, NA class, fastest bolt on and cam only c6 1/4 mile. And i personally own 6 stick shift cars that would be more than capable of competing in drag week, just don’t live close and don’t have the interest/nor time. However i do grudge race, do almost every no prep on the west coast/California. 🤷🏽‍♂️
