Any muffler shop can do that work with ease. It's just a bolt on. I want to do this myself. Will feel more accomplished and learn something about my car. Which X-pipe did you decide on ?

I had the AWE X pipe installed today. Sound is just right-not obnoxious with NPP running open, and very quiet in muffler mode. When the installer brought the car around, I remarked that it did not sound much louder. He then got in the car and hit the throttle at idle and it did roar. Car does seem to run a little smoother in the mid rpm range and does bark loudly when you run it through the gears. Just finished a running log and sent to my tuner to check everything out.

I stay in Clayton. Are you close by? I can bring my vette over for the same issue. Just got a new motor in it and looking to put on a newer muffler or pipes. Any reccomendations?

RPM in Garner if you MUST use a shop. They're a good shop with a solid reputation.

I currently am trying to get a new exhaust and thinking about upgrading the suspension. Trying to bring the 76 back to life.

Ahh...yeah there's a bunch of exhaust shops up that way. Easy stuff. Suspension will be no fun in that car...

I am thinking about letting a shop do it. I don’t have the tools to handle suspension issues.

I agree. I don’t think I’m talented enough for that.
