I'm thinking of going to Corvette Expo this year. I went to it when it was in Knoxville and a couple times in Sevierville. Is the show worth going to? What is the best day to go? Where is the best place to stay? Thanks Charlie.
I'll be there! This will be my third year. It's a really great show and the Dragon cruise on Friday evening is awesome. There's usually a few more cars on Saturday but the cruise is on Friday evening so I always go both days. There's no shortage of hotels to stay in around the convention center but the price gouging has been awful in the area the last few years. I'd say stay wherever you find the best deal. My parents have a timeshare in Sevierville so I'm mooching off of them. There's typically in excess of 600 Corvettes there including all generations so it's definitely worth the trip!

I’ll be going too our car club is the featured club this year which is pretty cool ,I’m not hauling mine down this year but it’ll still be a good time hope to see you there
Just a few weeks away. Who all is going? The clutch in my C6 bit the dust but it's getting put together this week. Glad I'll have it back in time. Two friends are coming down with me; one in a C6 and another in a C8.

My wife and I, along with a friend of mine, are planning on going. We'll be leaving Raleigh, NC on that Thursday. We were lucky enough to get a room at the host hotel just yesterday. I just got my first Vette a few weeks ago so it was a spur of the moment decision after my friend told me about the event. Looking forward to my first major event.
All the weather "apps" show rain on Friday but the actual weather models mostly show rain staying to the south. Fingers crossed! The Dragon is much better in the dry

I saw that too on the weather I’m hoping to go finally get to do the dragon
Here's an FYI for those attending. The lineup for the Dragon cruise is a little different this year. This will definitely help with traffic flow.
PS entry into the event is cash only so be sure to bring some. I believe it was $15 last year. And although this picture says to print and bring with you, I've never printed it and never been asked for one.

Weather might be good on Friday. The forecast I just checked said sunshine and clouds mixed for Friday. Then rain after midnight and into early Saturday morning, then clearing. Fingers crossed!
I (personally) was disappointed with the show this year. The cars inside were sparse and had no WOW factor. Then, there were all the camaros inside... Not many cars in the "park and show", as compared to years before. And, I've never had to pay to be in the park and show before either...

Really? This was their biggest show that I'm aware of with nearly 1000 Corvettes and nearly 400 on the Dragon cruise. This is my third year and I've had to pay every year a reasonable price.
