I did something stupid. I seems you should never run your corvette through a carwash. I ran it through what used to be Calibur carwash in Farragut about 6:00pm last night. The car came home on a Rollback. It started again(fianally) at 9:00pm this morning. I let it Idle(which it did not do well) It did a bit of backfiring and died again after about 30 minutes. It will not start again.
I am looking for some suggestions or a mechanic that would make a house call. Help Please.
Sounds like you killed the Optispark, which sits right under the water pump on all LT1/4 vettes. You cannot get them wet, or they will die like what probably happened. They cost a good bit of money to have a shop replace them, so it would be nice if you could replace it.
I can't really help you cause I don't know much about it, but go into the C4 Tech/Performance section for more info. You can search that forum by clicking the search button on the left and typing "opti" or "optispark" in the search field. Good luck
OUCH! Well it will have to be done at a shop. I dont own the first mechanical tool. They are useless to me. I usually create a worse mess than what I started with. Thanks for the tip on the issue and I will keep digging to get it resolved.

Re: HELP 1993 Vette won't start !! (BOMAG)
My 94 did this sometimes after a killer wash. It eventualy cleared itself up after a couple of days of sitting time. If you can leave it be for a couple of days and then give it another try. :seeya It most likely will be pricey if the dealer were to do a quick fix. Good luck. :steering:
