I'll be there all weekend crewing on the 65 below. The Sebring SVRA race is one of our favorite race weekends every year. What's not to like, not only do we get to go to a race, but we also get out of the northeast in the winter. It's a win-win.
We run in Group 6, which is made up of 60's and early 70's big bore sports cars (Corvettes, XKE's, Cobra's, 911's, GT-350's, etc) and 65-72 pony cars. We have about 20 cars in our class, seven of which are Corvettes. There's also 2 Corvettes in Group 4, a 56 and a 60, and 2 or 3 in Group 10, the class for tube frame and other more modern cars racing on slicks (the earlier cars have to use period correct, treaded race tires)..
I go there every year, I have a few photos of that car as I was sitting at turn 7. I'll be cheering for you guys next week, good luck!
All the times I've been to Sebring, I've never gotten over to turn 7 on the infield. I have spent a fair amount of time on the outside of turn 7 though. My wife and I always get a room at the Sebring Seven hotel, with a balcony overlooking turn 7. I usually finish up with the car early Saturday, so I can watch Trans Am qualifying from the room. It doesn't get much better then watching race cars from the hotel balcony, drinking a couple beers!
Because I spend much of the weekend in the paddock, I usually shoot most of my pictures inside turns 1 and 17, or the viewing area above the pit building. I'll have to try to get over inside turn 7 this year, to shot some pictures.
I shot the picture above at Watkins Glen last September.
Here's a link too pictures I shot at Sebring in 2018, including a few from outside turn 7.
Great photos, thanks for sharing them.
Can't wait to get my 04 Bob Bondurant corvette out on the track for some "parade" laps.
I'll look for you on track Saturday. Friends of mine from Jersey have a winter home in Bradenton, and leave a white C6 convertible there to use when they're down here. They always come for the Corvette Coral at the Sebring Vintage/Trans Am weekend, and I told them I'd try to get some pictures of them on track this year (last year it was so dark by the time the Corvettes got to do their laps, there wasn't enough like to use my long lens).
A good friend and I will be there Saturday. This is our second year at this event.
Looking forward to driving on the track again. Last year it almost got too late (too dark) to go out on the track due to some racing delays, but luckily we made it.
I know what you mean about letting us on the track at sundown, sure wish it was earlier. So in order to get on the track sooner I also purchased tickets for the Hagerty car show event going on there at the same time. They will be letting the car show group out on the track at the noon lunch break. It will most likely be 50 mph laps, but at least I can get out on the track in daylight just to get the feel of the track again.

The corvette go out after the end of the racing day (6:30?).
The car Hagerty car show guys go out at the noon break (12?).
I'm signed up for both shows so I'm going out twice!
Does anyone know what time the Parade Laps will be ? One website has "at sunset", someone on Facebook is saying 12:00 Noon ???
The event schedule says 6:10, but this is dependent on the racing being over on time. Last year the vintage groups were finished more or less on time, but the last group, Trans Am qualifying, was twice delayed by red flags, which required extended clean ups.
Below is a link to the "Official" schedule from the SVRA's website.

I have my Vette insured with Hagerty and I'm a Drivers Club member, i just checked the website to register for their show and February is empty, must've sold out. Oh well, next time.
