Default A special thanks to JOECOOL

I must thank JOECOOL for arranging the Gainesville event today. I had a very enjoyable time today at Gainesville and also broke into the 12's finally! I ran a 12.93 and then backed it up with a 12.89! Yes finally! I have been trying to get there for two years! Weather wasn't too bad. 50 degrees with a slight wind which made it feel like thirty's at times.
Again I must say I had an awesome time!!!!!!

I attended the road course (1.6 miles) (WAY better than an autoX) prior to drag racing............one word;
AWESOME!!! :yesnod: we had 11 cars and drove 'em as hard as we wanted! It was my first, but not last time, I'll do this!! My engine oil reached 260 degrees! :eek: (The outside temp was 46 degrees!). I met some great guys (and gals). I found the limits on my Z06 AND my skill :steering: (as did some others!)
Thanks to all who made this weekend possible, especially Phil (Joe Coool!)

Phil told me he had hoped for 50 attendees............... over 200 showed! I'll tell ya what, next year will have double that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yesnod:

:iagree: :thumbs: Gotta agree man. The road course was great. Got a chance to do a little coaching (which really made my day BTW) and had a blast watching the runs. There was enough room for people to really push the limits (car and driver :eek: )
Can't wait till next year...I'll be :steering: the course then :D .

Sounded like a great time! Sorry I missed it, we were delivering the Jr dragster in SC. :sad: What was the final car count for the drag day? Any and all that liked it should do their best to make it a monthly event! The first race of the Florida Corvette Challenge is Feb 22nd at Bradenton. (see sig for links). Come on out and hone your skills for a chance at some trophy's!!! :cheers: :cheers: Good job Joecool! :)
