Default DMV Meetup

@StayinStock @Geoff13IOM6GS and I have been wanting to get a group of local CorvetteForum members together, along with anyone else in the DMV and surrounding areas. If you can get up at the crack of dawn, one Sunday morning we could meet at the Dunkin Donuts at Dulles Landing for their Cars and Coffee, then roll up to the Leesburg C&C. Dunkin is early and ends by 8:30ish but Leesburg is just getting started at that time.
If early isn't your thing, we could do Cars and Cigars, here is the next one:

DC Car Scene puts on a good Cars and Coffee that isn't super early:

They also do weeknights but it does attract a different, dare I say slightly immature, crowd:

We could also all show up to one of my club's events (Northern Virginia Corvette Club). You don't need to be a member to go to the shows but unless it's the big yearly show, turnout has been lower this year than in the past.

I'm open to suggestions and let me know what your thoughts are. This is just the next couple of weeks but there are a lot of shows and events around here.

I vote for one of these. I've been to both, I thought both were decent. I haven't had any luck with loudoun station - I've tried twice with no luck. There is always Carlise at the end of this month. I'm going up Friday/Saturday.

I won't be going to Carlisle but I will be at LS Fest East in Bowling Green the weekend after Labor Day.

I am going to both of the C&Cs this Sunday. Short notice but maybe I'll see you guys there. We have plenty of time too, don't want to rush anything, just keeping this informal.

The Leesburg C&C is at Public House, can't miss it with the size of the parking lot and number of cars that show up.

Wish I could join but the NVCC is having a DIY day that I am signed up for. I like to try to go to both club's events, particularly the annual shows.

I'm down for the 19th weekend. I saw a bunch of cars at Xcal Shooting Sports and Fitness after the Dulles C&C this weekend. I didn't see anything advertised for it so I'm not sure if it's a new weekly C&C or what, but I may end up at that instead of driving out to Leesburg after Dulles.

I'm planning to go up to Carlisle as well. I've been taking my son up there every August for a few years now. This will be my first time as a Corvette owner! We will be there for all 3 days.

I would love to get to a Saturday C&C—might try to hit that Loudoun Station C&C on the 19th, but not sure I will be able to fit it in.

I'm in for Loudon Station on Saturday, 11-1. I have morning plans and may not be there right at 11 but I'll plan to be there.

Good deal, I'll hit up Galvatron too and see if he's free. I'll bring the camera gear, see if we can get a good group shot of some c6s after the meet.

Since I'm not bringing the Vette up to Carlisle, I'm definitely going to be looking for a Saturday C&C or two to go to in September. Thinking about Woodbridge (convenient location, but 8-10 AM is a bit early for me) and/or Loudoun Station (bit of a drive, but the time is nice).

Nice meeting you and the car. The pictures don't do it justice. Sounded good reverberating in the square when you were leaving.

Would love to see it!

Loudon Station is done for the year, this weekend was the last one. However, there are usually a lot of events from now until Halloween. People, myself included, trying to get to shows and stuff before the end of the season and things get cold.

I'll continue to post events that I find, and am always open to going to other shows. I see largely the same crowd at these weekly C&Cs.
