Georgia Titles
I’m considering buying a ‘73 Coupe from my brother, who bought the car from local Ga Sheriff’s auction 22 years ago as it was confiscated. He has bill of sale and registration and of course a title is not required on it, but I would much rather have one as far as resale! I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this in our state of Georgia?

I'm not 100% on this but since titles can only be transferred,I don't believe they can be created for a car that never had one to begin with. Send a text to the Tag office with your question at 678-964-4712 and they will respond with an answer.

I got into the same kind of deal on a 55 Chev that was bought new in GA. It never had a title issued.
I'm in TN. What I had to do was get them to do a stolen vehicle search on the vin number on the 55. Once it came up clean, they issued me a new title on the car.
