:blueangel: :blueangel: Hoping for a quick and full recovery for Donna - my brother in law had a similar accident a couple of years ago with a fractured vertebra in around the same area. He ended up having surgery, but after rehab, he was back at 100% within a few months.
Another update ---"Jim called a little while ago. Donna is feeling better and had solid
food today. Her brace will be a full body brace, and the doctors
believe that with the support of the brace, no surgery will be needed. Donna
will have to wear it 24/7 for 4 months with R&R and PT during that
time; they told her that any movement by her without the brace could very
well mean surgery. If she can show the doctors that she can sit up for
a while with the brace, then they will release her sometime this week;
Jim said right now, they are shooting for Wednesday. Of course, the
plane trip home will be grueling, and that is why the doctors want to
make sure Donna can sit up with minimal pain. Good news, huh? I told Jim
about all of the good wishes to Donna from us and on the Forum, and he
sends his deepest thanks to everyone for all of the support. Once
Donna can reach the keyboard, Jim is sure she will want to send out a note.
Les, would you send this out on the Forum for me? I don't have Ray's
login.
Stacey" Just a note from me, thanks for all your good thoughts --Les

Damn.... Donna I just heard about your accident. I'm sorry that you had such a terrible fall. From what I can gather in this thread you will be alright. Maybe you will be well enough in April to endure a short visit from MGY2K, if not then we can do it another time. My best to you, Jim & your daughter & my best wishes for a full & speedy recovery.
