test and tune before the challenge?
Hey guys...gonna try and make it down on saturday (it is this saturday right?) for the challenge....wanted to make sure there was open test and tune going on as well. I'd like to do a few runs, but probably won't do the challenge.
Any caravan heading down from Tampa?
oh yeah...any places locally to get a decent helmet that won't cost a fortune? I'll probably only hit the strip a couple times a year at best so I don't really want a $300 helmet if it's avoidable.

Yes. there is a test n' tune running all day at the same time as the Challenge...gates open at 9 am...for a helmet, try ebay...good luck and "come on down"...

Hey Matt,
I plan on leaving around 7am or so, that way I can get something to eat at the Cracker Barrell before the gates open.
As for the helmet, I got my Snell 2000 M rated helmet at Automotive Engineering on 56th Street in Temple Terrace for $99. Give them a call and check them out.
Let me know if you want to caravan down?

Awesome man. Thanx!...they've got a store like 10 minutes from my office in Largo...Heading over there tomorrow to pick one up. $99 w/ shield or $89 for open face.
