[Event] Spring Skyline April 26th
With all the snow that's still on the ground, it just doesn't seem like it's time to be posting this yet! :eek: But I guess I'm running behind as usual... :nopity
Spring Skyline will be held on Saturday, April 26th. We haven't finalized the cruise yet but it looks like it will be a brunch cruise; meet at Brookside for brunch then cruise into the park and head south.
Sound like a plan?

BTW, has anyone been into the park lately? I'm wondering if it is cleared of snow yet... :steering:

Tentative plans would be an "informal" gathering at Brookside for brunch with a "formal" meeting inside the park, probably either at Stony Man or one of the other larger ovelooks. We haven't done a group picture in a while so that's on the list and will probably happen at the first meeting spot inside the park. (Stony Man overlook is at milemarker 38.6 and is a great spot for a group picture...)
Anne and I haven't made our scouting trip as of yet. As soon as we do, we'll post the specifics. Figure on a 10:00 brunch and noon meeting time inside the park, or something along those lines. :seeya

Brunch Update
Brookside has agreed to doing Brunch. They have requested that we be there between 10:30 and 10:45 that morning. They will be sending me a menu with pricing shortly and I will post that when it arrives.
After Brunch, we will regroup at the Stony Man overlook which is at the 38.6 mile marker inside the park around noon-ish. There, we will take some pictures, lie about our cars, etc. :blueangel: We will leave Stony Man overlook travel south to Loft Mountain. Depending on the turnout, we may make a stop or so on the way.

With the new Itinerary, southside Ratpackers can sleep later :D
Looks like we can take I64 thru Richmond and pick up 522 west of Richmond, themn hook up with 211 into Luray. 522 and 211 are great roads!

:cheers: From the Southeastern part of the State, we are planning to come up 522 to Route 211 at Sperryville and rendezvous there for the run over the hill and down the Dale into Brookside :D
