Default Sully recovering from heart attack

I just got an email from Betty Sullivan that Paul suffered a heart attack last Saturday while they were visiting grandchildren in Florida. Many of you know Sully personally from various shows, cruises, Road Atlanta track days, etc. The Sullivans own a mag red C5 convertible with that awesome drive train prepared by Mike Norris. Paul is back home recuperating. Betty reports that he needs a lot of rest.

George...thanks for posting.

To everyone...Thanks for all the 'Get Well' wishes!

I was very lucky...the EMT's were at the hotel 3 minutes after calling & I was in the hospital within 10-15 minutes. Fortunately, Orlando has one of the top cardiac hospitals in the country, so I received excellent care. There was some damage to the heart, which the Dr. attributes to this & probably previous heart-attacks. I guess those times I thought it was indigestion; it wasn't. So, a lesson learned, if you are having chest pressure or pain, don't assume it will pass

I am taking it easy for a little while, to heal, & will be changing "my life-style" by eating healthier & getting more exercise... I should be OK. I am only 54 & in decent shape, so I was really shocked when this happened.

I WILL get better soon! After all, I am driving the car at Road Atlanta next month. :steering:

Hey guy,

I had 4x bypass in '97 then a little attack in '99. I'm the same age as you and now doing great!

I am happy to hear that you're OK. The Docs really know a lot about keeping us healthy, and I expect you will look back at this as a life-changing event that you don't really think about too much. I did change my notions about what things are important, and find much more enjoyment in life! I hope you do too!

My granddad has had a few heart attacks over the years. However, he is following a good diet and exercise, and he is still kicking for over 15 years since he first had one, and he is 84!
