My wife and I are planning on a small vacation that weekend. We are thinking about riding the dragon Saturday. Maybe we could meet up with you. How long would it take to drive from Cherokee, NC to the resturant you are meeting at?

Here are the tenative plans for Jack and his Crew for the dragon Run.....
"Looks like we will try to do this...Leave BG early Sat AM, hopefully before 9 AM and get to Motel 6 west of Knoxville before 1 pm. Then probably have a brief lunch and head down 411 to 129. 129 to 143 in Robbinsville and pick up Cherhola, circle back up to 411 and do 129 again and turn around at the motel, take 129 back. If time permits I would like to do Foothills Pkwy to Alcoa.
Sunday AM I plan to get them out of bed early and be at the wide spot on 129 just past the foothills pkwy around 7 to 7:30 am "

There's also a concert in the cove at Lenoir City Park @ Ft. Loudon Marina Sat. evening @5:00 w/fireworks if anyone might be interested. Two stages, one on land, one on water. GREAT music is in store!!! There's also a CALHOUN'S there too for dinner!
