Default (NC) Emissions Question

Hey all. Quick question, I have a non Vette that has a hole in the piping pre muffler and post cats. Will I get busted for emission failure because of the hole (our county has emissions check)? It has nothing to do with emissions level since it is post cat but the car is sounding a little off. They don't check for pressure in the pipes do they? It's just the amount of crap coming out of the end of the pipe, right?

Correct! If they don't mention the noise or see the hole, you should be good to go. They just use a sniffer up the exhaust. :seeya

What you said made sense about the sniffer!

I have a friend across the street who had his Accord up on jack stands and he said "Come look at this" He had taken about 24 Dr Pepper cans and cut the top and bottom out and put a slit down the middle and wrapped the cans around the pipes all the way down the car just to get it to pass inspection. He did it for quite awhile. I just never knew if a pencil sized hole would fail inspection.
