What a great day!! :D Absolutely perfect weather and temps combined with six Corvettes set the stage for a most wonderful cruise!
First we would like to extend a huge thank-you to Jon Mackey and Famous Dave's for their hospitality in taking care of the near starved SMCer and the Rat Pack!! :yesnod: Fantastic food and impecable service guarantees many future visits to Famous Dave's  Jon, I owe one, buddy
And then we were off!! Things started shaky due to me being directionly impaired but the VAgang rescued and we were on our way! Blasted down 129 dreaming of Dragon curves all along the way! We had a warm and friendly greeting from the THP at the bottom of Dragon (they had a road block!!), and what do we see? A yellow z06 approaching!! Gardiner! After grouping at the gravel pit, we cruise the Dragon along side about a thousand bikes and other vehicles.
That part completed, Cherohala awaits!! It was a maiden voyage for most if not all of us! I had heard many things about the Cherohala Skyway, and all I can say is that they are all true :yesnod: That is one of the most spectacular and scenic roads ever!! We made a few Kodac moments stops along the way.....One in particular is the time when we got to see the Rat Pack being HIGH   And then it was back to 129 where we parted and went on our separate ways giving us time to reflect back on the good times and good friends we experienced that day
Gardiner and the Rat Pack, you guys are welcome in East TN anytime!!! What a great bunch of folks you are!!! It was indeed a pleasure meeting you!!!
As we all know: no pics, no proof! They are coming; no digi camera... They will be posted later after developing and scanning!!
  sorry i missed yall, i was under the dash on 64 for a very long time. needed to get it back in and running. :smash: :smash: glad you had a good day! :flag

Glad to see you guys had a good time.I almost made this one.I drove from Gatlinburg through the mountians into Townsend to the Foothills Parkway beautiful drive all the way. When I got to the top of the Mountian on the Parkway the road was closed this was at 1:45.I talked to some bikers headed for the dragon also and they said it would take at least an hour to go around.I knew I wouldn't make the 2:00 meeting time.Maybe next time.
