Well it was Saturday, and with no rain, (in Va Beach!) it was a good opportunity to take a short trip.
OK, now that we decided to go outside, where would we go? We hopped in the car maps in hand, and drove to Smithfield, VA, which incidently is, "home of the largest ham biscuit".
We shopped the antique stores, for old toys (kind of like my '77 vette), and sampled some of the Smithfield ham.
A quiet little town, but a nice drive.
The wife and I are looking for another trip possibly this weekend (in Virginia).
Any ideas?
A good little trip through Pungo and onto Knotts Island for some Peaches. After that you could catch the ferry over to the other side of North Carolina and cruise on up either 168 or find some back roads to catch 17 back to Virginia. I've done this a couple of times and it is a blast going down to Knotts Island and back.
Have fun.
