I am lookin to see if the driver of a yellow w/black racing striped C5 from Nashville posts here. It is very fast and has a bad system set up.(you will know if it is you) Your Vette is awsome. Just wanted to get some help from you as a fello Nashville local. Thanks, :seeya
I've seen that car. He has a supercharger and nitrous(maybe 150shot). Either way, it's a pretty cool car. I've seen it a couple times at the Cruise In in Murfreesboro.
You should check out TNTC5's car. That thing is just unreal!!!
yeah, that pic looks just like it. and yes the one I am talking about is supercharged(vortech) and does have a spray kit which is sunk into his system set up. It is pretty cool car. Do you think it is the fastest c5 in the nashville area??? :auto:
Actually, TNTC5 was telling me he has raced the guy several times back when he had his 350 with Stage 1 heads, 3:42 gears, and 2400 stall convertor, and he beat him several times. Now he has a 422 with Stage 1 heads, and 4:11 gears. I'm not sure of the torque convertor, but I'm sure he'd smoke just about anyone now. Sounds like the yellow vette has all the goodies, but doesn't have the package setup right and the custom tunig to really put the power down.
He crawled up on my rear on I-65, just south of Hwy 96 one night, tailgated me for a second, blew by me in the left lane, and exited four lanes over at the same time onto Hwy 96. If he continues to drive like this he will never post on this site, unless they have a computer in Vette Heaven. :lolg:

He told me about some of his street racing stories. I'm surprised he has made it this far. I'll save the rest of my comments for offline...
So do you guys think he is the fastest in this area? I think that he does, but im not sure. I cant speek for him. We need to get all the really fast vettes out to union hill and see who has got the power. :boxing haha, that would be great. I think it would be cool for some one to earn the unofficial title of the fastest vette in nashville. Tell me what you guys think. Would you guys come race or watch??? asking just to see what the turn out would be. :auto:
Only real complaints I have is that there is a little dip at the end of the concrete pad that definitely does not help traction any. I didn't get much traction on any of the launches, but for darn sure didn't get any when I launched at 1500rpm.
Some people just aren't really concerned with being the fastest. Whoever spends the most money on the right things wins, that's all there is too it. I'm not real interested in who's fastest as I am in how well I can do with what I have and trying to understand how I can make my times and speeds better. That, and Maggie has been running a lot better since that night at the track and I think it will do her some good to blow her out once a month. :yesnod:
Drag racing is kinda like golf. Sometimes its not the club, its the person swinging the club that makes it happen. I have seen 600hp cars that just cant get it done b/c of the driver.
I think you are wanting something that cant be done Knight Sky. Meaning, if you want the best drag racing Corvette, drag race. If you want to see what Corvette has the most hp, set up an event at a local dyno. I am coming down to see the parents in October. Wouldn't mind coming out there to watch! :seeya
Just the sticky Kuhmo's, but I'll probably get slicks if I keep doing this once a month. I'm more into twisties than I am drag racing, so I don't want to get her set up where she just goes in a straight line....
The fun is all in the turns. :steering:

I know the guy that owns the Yellow coupe and the reason you havent seen him is because the car in in pieces at the moment. I wont go into details (complete new motor, etc..) but lets say it will be a fast car when he's done. :yesnod:
