This Saturday, Oct. 25, I am entering my '02 electron blue vert in Street Show category in an all-Corvette show, 119 trophies to be awarded, at Roger Dean Chevrolet on Pine Island Road in Cape Coral, FL. What is the best way to get my (stock) engine compartment all spiffed up? Any suggestions on what cleaners to use? What do judges pay particular attention to in the engine compartment? Thanks for any help/hints you can give me! :auto:
Re: Need Help on Cleaning Engine Compartment (98Pace97Coupe)
A cursory look gave me good suggestions on other issues, but I'll have to keep scrolling to find a specific answer to my question (when I have more time). Thanks for the info. Lots of good stuff here!
Re: Need Help on Cleaning Engine Compartment (ThanksGM)
My buddy Bruce taught me how.
(1) Spray of the dust and dirt with a garden hose while trying to avoid the electronics
(2) Wipe down everthing
(3) Use a bug and tar remover on stubborn areas, then wipe it off
(4) Spray down everything with original Amor All
(5) Use Armo All Wipes to remove the excess
(6) Repeat 3's 4 and 5 at the show
Good luck and did I meet you at the Ft. Myers show. You are from MI, right? I was parked next to you (I have a silver blue split window C-5)

Dwight, good memory! Yes, I do recall. Thanks for the cleaning tips. I'll give it a try. Are you able to come to our show Oct. 25 at Roger Dean Chevrolet? It should be a great show!

No, sorry can't make it. I'm off to Las Vegas (SEMA Show). I even tried to get someone to take my car up but struck out there too. Have a good show
