Well, after talking about it for several years, I've made up my mind I'm going to go to the race this March. The fact that the high temperature forecast today is a single digit has nothing to do with this decision :D . I'm making this into a bit of a vacation and will be staying in the Ft. Myers area. Any suggestions for a day at the races (apart from sunscreen for my pale northern flesh, and leaving bloody early because of traffic at the track), or other activities? Thanks.
Most of those people around there may be at the Winter Jam now...give 'em a few days to have fun, return, recouperate, and then respond
Winter Jam Vs. 24 Hours of Daytona
Well, I'll be at the 24 hours of Daytona. Racing wins everytime. :hurray:
Bring plenty of cold BEER to Sebring. And, bring a few SMCs with ya on the way down. Its going to be a great race again this year.
I'll be there in the Vette.
Good choice on attending the 12 hours of Sebring. There is plenty to do and lots to see. Make sure to walk the track and take a good tour of greenpark. Make sure to bring plenty of liquids cause it will probably be in the mid 80's or higher. Also bring rain gear. It rained last year so it "shouldn't" rain this year, but you never know when that freak Florida rain shower could pop up. Feel free to stop by the outside of turn one (in the north padock area) slots 69 & 70. You can't miss us, you'll see the sebringfans.com sign, a typehouse racing sign, and a HUGE Theta Chi Flag.
Cruise on by http://www.sebringfans.com and ask all the questions you want. Make sure to bring the vette too. There is a nice Corvette corral that you can park her in (you may need advance reservations for that parking though).
shakedown, thanks. would love to drive the vette there, but the Mrs. wants to fly down, so one guess as to which we're doing  . Hope to see folks down there
