Ever hear of the Bucket n Sponge self service car wash?
:D
Sorry could not resist.
That's the great thing about owning a house, in the winter you can wash your car and turn your driveway into an icerink at the same time. :yesnod:
Hmm... let's see.
okay, nothing listed here. http://www.restonweb.com/business/carwas.html
From: Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

 Yeah, it might come down to that, but was hoping to get something done quickly. Plus, I'm pretty sure the hose is frozen!
Thanks for the links. I figured I might as well wash it myself if I go the hand wash route. I'm basically just looking for something to quickly get the crud off until there's a warmer day to give a good detail.
Scott, Right in FFX Circle, 7 blocks East of our favorite wing place is a do it yourself spray - n- wash. It is literally right AT FFX circle, behind Farrish and between the 7-11 & Arthur Treachers, you will see it.
I've been looking for a self wash spot in the Alexandria area and have found nothing. I even called Mr. Wash and of course they wouldn't tell me of a place (and cut into their profit) :D I found a place across the Woodrow Wilson off Indian Head road to handwash my car. I think its a damn shame I have to leave the state to wash my car myself. :cuss
I started looking for a brushless wash yesterday, just for a reason to get the C5 from under the car cover. A cruise out to Reston might just be a good enough reason. The only concern I have, is wouldn't the water freeze under the car at crusing speed?

Hope this helps
There is also one on Sterling Blvd @ RT 28 behind the gas stations (Amoco I think) I think a place called the Greese Monkey is on the road frontage too...
There is one on Sterling Blvd in Sterling VA.From 28 turn right on Sterling Blvd, go to the next street on the left pass the drive thru car wash. and there is the wands and vacums
Hey guys, there is one right off of Highway 234 in Manassas. You pull in like a regular carwash, but it only uses water to wash your car (no brushes or flapping straps) Here is the info:
10441 Nokesville Rd, Manassas, VA
703-330-4458
I don't know how to insert a map, but just put the address in http://www.mapquest.com and go from there.
Last time I went to a brushless carwash was at the Capital Expo Center mobile station. It's called "field of dreams mobile"....
The only problem I had with it was that the weather stripping in my car was not quite upto par for a 200 MPH jetblast of water. It only spurted in a couple of times in very small volume, but i did have to wipe down a bit of the trunk area. The back window had a bit of trouble right behind the driver's seat.
Considering yours is newer, you probably won't have that trouble. The only thing to consider is that I washed my car the day after I used the sprayer thing because it moistened the car and then the dirt ran into streams and dried on the car in an ungly fashion. I'm sure with all the salt and crap on the roads, your car would come out cleaner, but i'm not sure how much...
Scott go to Sweetwater (its brushless) in Sterling on Sterling Blvd, I take all my vehicles there weekly. They do a good job and I haven't seen any problems with the car's finish.
