PLEASE HELP ME OUT IN NC?
I was told almost immediately at the shop that was supposed to tune the car and couldnt that the transmission was probably bad and could not handle the new gear and TC. Okay but I am NOT THROWING ANY CODES related to slippage at all. Is it possible that the gears could cause this slipping feeling? Is it possible that these problems I have described could be caused by a misfire that does not show up on the DIC?
I need some serious help from someone in this area that knows thier s**t about the C5. I called the dealership and they want to charge me $80 just to CHECK the transmission fluid. God I wonder how much it would be if they had to add some :D
Anyway if anyone can help me out here I would appreciate it. Truthfully I am pissed off to the point where I am thinking about taking the car out on I-95 and just running it as hard as it will go until either it blows up or the tranny, differential, engine, TC or whatever the problem is. Anybody?

First off let me say that Wayne Huff (MSGHuff here on the forum) just saved me about $2000 :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod: I cant thank you enough Wayne!!!!!!!
Wayne called me last night and told me that he would like me to meet him on Fort Bragg at the auto craft shop so that he could look over the car and check all the detailed little things before I went in to a performance shop here in Fayetteville to have the tranny rebuilt on Monday.
Well of course Wayne had me put the car up on a lift and get it warmed up. He then had me cycle through the gears at idle under brake to get the trans moving. He then checked the transmission fluid with the car running at at approxiately 180 trans temp. The trans fluid was low.
So he took drove me to the nearest autozone and we got a quart of trans fluid. We got a quart of Mobil one and a generic quart (just in case). We then returned to the auto craft shop and Wayne added the first quart of Mobil one......nothing dripped out of the fill hole. So he slowly added the other quart.........still nothing. So back we went to autozone :auto: Got two more quarts. Came back, heated and cycled the tranny and started to add the third quart and add and add. At 3/4 of the third quart the tranny fluid started to drip out.
We cleaned up and went and drove the car. IT FELT GREAT :yesnod:
Hits hard as hell and just screams. The downside is my tranny does seem to have very minor slippage under very light throttle at cruise. Nothing near the way it was going completely in and out when I drove it out to Fort Bragg this morning though.
Well anyway I just wanted to post this update and publicly thank MSGHuff for saving me a bunch of money and for taking the time to help someone that had no idea how to fix his most prized possession in the world. THANKS WAYNE :flag :flag :flag :flag :flag :flag
