Yes... that was the dinner conversation last week at the evil lair. So, I grabbed the video camera and we went looking for a hill. Does this sound like a high school type of thing? Anyway, it turns out a Corvette (at least a '96 model), needs a pretty steep small hill, and about 45-50 miles per hour to get all tires in the air enough to allow the car to start to randomly rotate midflight. There is a short video. Its low res since I don't want all my monthly bandwidth eaten up! I tried to get an outside shot, but wasn't brave (or quite crazy enough) to stand below the hill to try to see air.

Another good location for this for those in the Virginia Central region is Rt. 20 Heading North just Before the Rt.33 interchange. So basically you go North of Charlottesville on Rt. 20 to Barboursville. The last Mile before you get to the interchange with Rt. 33 is where you will incounter several small steep rollers... At 65 MPH I lifted at the crest of the first hill (Heading north) and got all four wheels off the ground. The key is to keep your foot on the gas as you land, so the car doesn't bottom out hard...
My 99C5 has been across that section a couple of times, with no ill-effects... Of Course I threw it on the lift and took a peek afterwards, just to be on the safe side... No hard parts made contact with the asphault!
I didnt get as much air as the grey C4 above but it was still quite a bit. All 4 were off the ground long enough to for me to think "oh shiznit" especially on the last one. Got er a little too fast on that one but all is good. No damage, just nice soft landings. Now I need to find something else to do for an encore. Hey...wait a minute.....theres a red 99 FRC sitting in my driveway right now (evil thoughts)
