Murfreesboro TN, I need help please!
I can have the car towed to the repair shop for free (insurance). You can IM me or email the business name at CW5Church@aol.com. I would sincerely appreciate a recommendation. I am going down there Saturday.
Thanks a million guys,
Rick

Our daughter graduated from MTSU in December. She also had a Saturn. Can't help you. Every time her Saturn would break down she was home for the weekend, and guess who ended up paying for the repairs!
Not sure of a decent shop in Murfreesboro...not sure if there is such a thing anywhere in the world.
However, I could have run out there on a weekend and changed the thermostat, not a hard job to do, it is situated on the bottom of the engine at the lower hose.
Then again, is it the thermostat? Overheating with a full radiator can also be attributed to a stuck heater core, inoperative cooling fan/relay, or a missing or damaged bottom air deflector (yes, like a Vette, Saturns, especially some models, are bottom breathers; not all air comes in from the bottom, but a large volume of air is supplied via the bottom air deflector).
If she is using coolant, I would look at a cylinder head (SOHC engine...DOHC engine not likely).
Also the coolant recovery reservoir cap is the actual pressure cap on a Saturn. If this is damaged it can also cause an overheat problem, if the conditions are just right.

They rebuilt the transmission and did a EXCELLENT job. Price was very reasonable. They were recommended by AAA when my Tahoe's tranny died. They had a few trucks from Donelson A/C, so they do a lot of fleet type work. They do EVERYTHING.
The second one is :
Rhea Little Tire & Auto Repair., 373-5868, 9042 Church St E Brentwood
I was VERY impressed with the honesty and work he did on my wifes Acura. He found a nail in her tire (which I didn't know about) and also replaced a bulb in her taillight (I knew about it). He did her brakes, put her tires on (from Tirerack.com), etc. Price was probably a little high, but I trust the guy. I have heard nothing but good things about him.
I let Rhea's shop do most the work on my wifes car. I try to do my Acura and my Vette. It's just too hard to keep up with 3 cars.
I would trust either shop.
