Race City Gang,
I am going to have to pass on this coming Tuesday at Bucko's. I have committed to helping a neighbor of mine with his Legends race car on Monday and Tuesday nights. I am learning way too much about racing and car tuning (suspension, motor, etc.) to pass up this opportunity!!
I definitely want to continue building on our "Club" idea, but Tuesdays at Bucko's is out for me until race season is over.
I did find another weekly car show that everyone might be interested in. I'm not sure how long this will last, but every Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 there is a show organized by Jillian's at the Concord Mills Mall. The parking lot in front of there "outdoor" entrance is blocked off for show cars. I've been there once and there were about 4 Vettes. I think they are from the Southern Corvette Club. If weather is good, I will be over there on Sunday.
I have a family member going in for surgery on the 30th, doesn't look like I'll be able to make it this time.
Sooner or later I'll be able to meet everyone. Have fun!
Joe
You could spend monday/tuedays til the end of race season prepin' and workin' on a legends car...learnin all the little trix to get ya an edge if ya go Auto-Xing...getting little tid bits and occasional access to you know who's garage......
Believe it or not, it was a tough choice! I enjoy driving my Vette and showing it off. But working on a race car has always been a dream of mine.
Anyone gonna try to come to Jillians on Sunday?
I know Mark...i'z just razzin' on ya a bit. You've got a HELL of'a oppertunity!! Take advantage of it!!!
We won't be able to do Jillians THIS weekend...Rose's working and i have the young'n....but maybe NEXT??? (that's without looking at "THE" calender...the bible of all that is done and scheduled at the Brown house! [img]http]//www.corvetteforum.cc/ubb/smile.gif[/img]
Qik.. Jillians sounds good. And enjoy the race car stuff..just share with us when the season is over. I'll look for ya Sunday. By the way.. I took the distributor apart today ,,finally,,and found that the screws that hold the rotor in place had both backed all the way out and were no longer holding the rotor donwn.. The tip of the rotor was bent but did no other damage to the cap... had the new rotor on in 1/2 hour including the ride to the local CarQuest and she now runs like the ole bear she is once again.. so THANK GOODNESS I dont need to ride with that Jim guy and get my teeth rattled out in that C3!!
Can't make Jillians this week, but I already told my wife I hope we can do that soon!
Dave,
I am just glad I don't let you work on my car! I mean come on, if you are having that much trouble with two little screws in the distributor which you replaced already, what the heck are you going to do to my car? Don't forget who discovered the distributor was the problem. I'll give you a hint - it was me The moral of this story is if you need it done the correct way, just call me and I'll be there
See ya Tuesday,
Jim
P.S My neighbor might ride with me. He has a 96 Rustang Cobra that is pretty sweet. Just be nice!
