TOWER SHOPS - Ft. Lauderdale
What has happen to to the Corvettes showing at the Tower Shops on Friday night. I have been there 2 Firday's in a row and there is 4-8 Corvettes and lots of ricers taking over. No one goes anymore?

Believe it or not, since they started charging $1 per car, some guys don't want to pay. Because of that, Sid (gray-haired guy that runs it) has allowed the ricers to share that area.
They agreed to pay him a certain amount of $$ each week.
He warned us this would happen.
To stay as far away from the ricers and their booming music and bouncing cars, I now park in another area.

Easy solution: Set up a meeting in another location... I'm sure that there are places that would be glas to have the Vetters there...

My opinion only, because I don't go there very often, but not knowing exactly who the guy is, Sid, I would and have had reservations as to who I am paying the money to....ie, is this the right person collecting the money. I really don't think it is a matter of a single dollar,,,,more like having to put up with the ricer boomboxes. My opinion only.
I like the Tower shops for the fact that one can check out other cars, other than Vettes. However, we have choices, like those already stated above,,,,,park somewhere else,,,,or meet somewhere else.

Sid is the right man to pay, he is the President of South Florida Street Rods who puts on the cruise in. The dollar (big deal) goes to offset the $300.00 a week that the City of Davie charges for police and whatever. Don't stop going and let them ricers take over.

You've got a MY with red int ? Can't wait to see it. I really like that combination. There is a Corvette - only parking section if you want to park there. I don't.... at about 8pm the teeny-boppers with their ricers come in and annoy everyone with their loud music and bouncing cars.
I park in another section of the show.
If you want to park with the other Vettes, look for the Goodwill trailer in the parking lot, and they are one row west of it.

Manuel.... I must have been walking around and missed you.I saw your beautiful car, but was unable to find you. I don't park in the Corvette area, maybe that's why you didn't see me. I park in a "quieter" area of the show. I do however hang out with the other Vette guys
