I posted this on your Weeki Wachee post but the same apply's here as Weeki Wachee and Spring Hill are pretty much the same area.
Nice area but they've had some problems with sink holes up there. If you're buying a house, it might make sense to have it checked out by a geologist. There's a company that my wife worked for in north Tampa called Redemption Environmetal Services that does geological testing. Not sure how much it costs, but it might make sense. Talk to some people in the area and see what they think.
looking for info on spring hill area in florida. would like to buy a home as an investment. just like weeki wachee, i know its a nice neighborhood and low crime. i am told there are 3 areas to spring hill, older homes 30+years and over, less older homes 20 years and younger, and a few new developments.
any and all info greatly appreciated.
lenny
I live in Spring Hill, FL. and lived ON the Weeki Wachee River..
Can I be of help? I can tell you this.. This place is going INSANE.... I am looking to build a new house and looked at lots earlier in the year. They have jumped from 12k - 15k up to 30k to 40k in less than 9 months. I've NEVER seen anything like it. You can blame the TOLL road they just opened that connects SPring Hill to Tampa. Instead of a 1 hour traffic jam to Tampa it now takes about 30 minutes as the crow flies.

im looking to buy a home for an investment, hoping that the area goes up in value and if need be, sell the house for a profit in the future. i have some friends around the area and say it will be building up. they also say (Six flags) aka great adventure in new jersey has been talking about buying a lot of stuff near the spring gardens park in weeki wachee. which will im sure be built up soon.
sent you e-mail to further the conversation.
