Default MCV Auto Show Outing

Anyone interested in making it a day at the Nashville Auto Show on Saturday 1-27 or Sunday 1-28? Hours are 10AM to 10 PM on Saturday, or 10AM to 6PM on Sunday. http://www.nashville-autoshow.com/
I am currently checking with the Saturn/Saab coordinator for the US auto shows to find out if the new Saturn Sky (two-seater roadster) will be at the show, and asking him to check with his Chevy counterpart to see if a ZO6 will be at the show.

The Z06 will not be at the show. I think it is only going to the Class A shows and NAS is a Class C show. I think that is the same for the Sky...

Very nice ride...great lines..

BTW: I will be at Frosty Wheels in Franklin for the weekend. If anyone wants to have a later dinner on Saturday 8-9ish let me know..

Darn, thought it was a new type of ice cream....

What time you going to be there, and where for dinner afterward?

I'm going to try and make it to Frosty Wheels. Probably Saturday afternoon. They usually have a decent swap meet there too, although I think it was better when it was in Smyrna, just MHO. I think they ended up having scheduling problems with the venue there though. Maybe I'll see you guys in Franklin.

Adam, are you still living in Columbia? I don't know if you remember me, but you installed my blackwing. I hope all is going well. On a different note, I heard Larry Ball is not doing well. I don't know if that is true or not, have you heard anything? We will need to get together, I am sure you will have to help me with my 99. The medium purple pearl car has been gone for awhile. Cheers--Bo

Hey Bo, what is up man?

How is the purple car?

My wife was the one who lived in Columbia, while I lived in Bowling Green. Kelly and I just bought a house in Franklin KY.

I have not heard anything on Larry Ball. I will have to look into it. Thanks for letting me know..

Meet us at Carrabba's?

I don't know about dinner, but I can go to the car show. Let me know what time you are going to be there. It's great to hear from you. Roger's Corvette in Florida offered me crazy money for the Purple car, I had to let it go. I know they had it for over a year. I think I read where another forum member purchased it. I like my black 99 more. I am just starting to mod it.

The purple car was awesome! Glad to hear someone did well on the resale of a C5.

Times I will be at the show:
Friday 4pm - 8pm
Saturday 9am - 8pm
Sunday 9am - 2pm

See you soon!

Yes, it sucks, but yes it is better than sleeping on the grates in front of the ******* Entertainment Center.

In about a year, that place is going to be very thin on non-reps. Technical Assistance is gone 4/1/05, all functions to be taken over by a contract house up in Flint, MI.
The remainder of Service Engineering (current vehicle engineers, Labor Times, etc.) will be "deployed" to MI over the next 10 months. Still have no exact move date.
I do have one ace in the hole for another two-years in Spring Hill. The manager of Saturn Warranty is considering taking the buyout that was offered the other day. If he goes, I'm the only one left in TN, who knows his system since my system feeds his system with data. I MIGHT be able to jump into his position.
This guy has 37 years at GM, and is 62. They offered him one-year of full pay with benefits and HE DOES NOT HAVE TO WORK. Then after that period, he goes on full retirement for someone with 38 years with GM and then 63 years old.

I might be game for the Frosty Wheels show also. The show downtown while nice, isn't really any different than walking through a new car showroom. I also might be game for dinner also. Let me check with my Social Coordinator (That's the wife for the non-married) and see what's going on.
