I have been having a hell of a time with my 1991 C4 Convertible. It dies on me while driving. I dont have a code reader, but through the forum a process of elimination has taken place and I have replaced the ICM and Ignition Coil so far, probably the MAP sensor later as well. But I think if I could find a code reader for a few minutes I could solve the issue quicker without towing it. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1584292
I live just off Pointsettia in Carlsbad, if anyone is close by and or willing to help it would be appreciated.
Code reader? u mean an OBDII? I have a XCal II that reads codes, if those work for your car I can help. If thats what you need. I live off alga and work in Encinitas.
Can these be used on mutliple cars without having to deflash mine? if so I am game to help, unfortunately I have to go to work soon and tomorrow I will be in LA all day.
I have a near new AutoXray OBD I reader/scanner for sale for $100. I got it for my L98 1988 C4 that I used to own several years ago. I think I only used the scanner a couple of times before I bought my C5. It also reads "real time" data while you're driving. It comes with the manual etc. and will work on your car too.
Think about it......unfortunately I'm in El Cajon. PM me if you're interested.
