Default ButtonWillow this weekend

Tracquest has a DE event this weekend at Button Willow. Tons of track time, run by a good guy and they take care of the food, drinks including a banquet on Saturday. Very friendly to newbies as safety is first.
Lots of different types of cars are typically out there as well, plus plenty of good instructors.
I may not be able to make it with my car broken, but would if I could.
Here is the website http://www.tracquest.com/

I had a little mishap at Willow Springs. Seems the reverse lockout didn't quite lockout between 7 and 8 and I did something reasonably bad to reverse while I was reaching for 5th. Didn't exactly grenade, but ground/chipped something enough that backing up ceased to be a pleasureable experience as it started popping out very badly. I have to call today to see if there is any possibility the sucker will be fixed in time for Sat. I'm 2 for 2 in breaking stuff at my last two events (broken window at Button Willow). This sure ain't a cheap hobby!
What is wrong with your white monster?

Sorry to hear about that! :( Hope it gets fixed real fast. The last time I was at Buttonwillow I fried my brake pads, Cracked the front rotors & heat tested the Tire Pressure sensors till they failed!

$1200 later with me doing all the labor, all is well with the Brake system and pressure sensors. I had to laugh hard when you commented on the expensive hobby thing. ;)

Maybe I will park the Vette at Buttonwillow and cruise around in my Golf Cart instead.

Aside from those things that happened last time... I still have the high RPM flutter since my last round of Mods that I have not been able to fix yet. :( I am weighing out the options for the car and I have had it parked for almost 2 weeks now. I will let you know what I will do to make it better. :)

vetterdstr

Good lord man, with your mods I think I may drive up there in my rental car just to watch the look on all the Porsche guys faces as you head up the front straight!
Good luck and have a complete blast!!
Damn, I wish my car was done.

I think I recall you mentioning after the last blast at Button that you'd fried the brakes. All that HP is a little hard to stop!

Hope you get the car back in shape. Laguna is around the corner

How was the racing in all of that FOG?

I drove through Buttonwillow for an un-related reason about midnight on Saturday. The tule fog was so thick I couln't see the lines on I5. I hope the fog lifted by daytime.

It was interesting to see a Motel 6 parking lot full of Vettes, Porsches and BMWs.
