Not exactly sure what you mean by "custom paint" but a good high-end paint and body shop is the Golden Hammer in West Los Angeles.

Are you looking to paint the whole car, or just panels?

How far do you want to drive?

This was done by Eagleton's in Huntington Beach (next block over from Chip Foose).

You're looking at a $14K paint job including lots of body work,

and the custom cutting out of the coves and fiberglass hood insert.

The price was for the media blasting/stripping, bodywork, and paint only. It did not include any R&R that was done by Steve LuVisi of Automotive Expertise, across the street from Foose. Steve did the two Corvettes for Foose on Overhaulin'. When you rub the stripe, you can't feel the difference in the paint layers. This requires far more prep and effort.

If you want the best, European Motor Car Works is by far the best.

www.europeanmotorcarworks.com

They are not cheap, but they do some of the best work in the country. Their username on here is EMCW. Call them up, ask for Nichole, and tell Nichole Keith told you to call.

Many members on here have had work done by EMCW. They will attest at the state of the art facility and the top notch quality they demand in every repair and paint.

Todd,
That is one gorgeous '64. Let me know when you get tired of it.

for a custom paint job I have the guy to do it and the price is very reasonable. He does all our paint at work. BTW the company I work for builds custom limousines and custom cars. If you are interested letme know.
