Default Confused...

I just moved to Lemoore a few days ago. For those(possibly most) who don't know. Lemoore is in the Central Valley area, like for sure . Anyway, should I be considered Northern Cali, or Southern Cali?

Sorry to break it to ya, but you are in Central Ca!

Must be in the military? Navy? That's about all that is in Lemoore.

Bu I would think you would be closer to So Cal GTG's for the most part. There is a Visalia Vette's..don' know much about them but my friend Sheila is a member..she lives in Hanford.

Yup, that is correct. I've only seen one other C6 since I've been here. Neither Visalia nor Hanford are too far from here, so that's cool.

Also a good idea about the "fence jumping".

Lemoore is a great place to be! I was stationed there for a little over three years and after the initial shock of being in the middle of nowhere, you will find that everything that you could want to do is within a couple hours drive. I met some of the best friends of my life there and would go back in a heart-beat if I could.

Dont worry about being considered NorCal or SoCal....you are more Central California if you must, but that doesnt matter. You can go to a GTG in Northern California or Southern California and I'm sure they would be happy to have you either way.

Stay Motivated up there and make the best of it.

That is so true. Especially since I've been a big city guy all my life. Other than the random farm smell, it's not too bad here. That, and every kid wants to race you here. When the weather becomes a bit more pleasurable, I definitely don't mind the couple of hours cruise to get anywhere.

One big plus, you`re close to both Button Willow (road course) AND Fomoso (drag strip)

If I were you, living in Lemoore, I'd participate in the Northern Calif. forum instead of this one that you just posted on. There is a great vette group in the Fresno area that does alot of mountain cruises etc. I'm sure you'd be welcome anytime, and still not too far of a drive for you. Here you go: http://www.corvettesoffresno.com/

Sheila has a red C5. She and her son own Olson's Automotive in Hanford. I don't know if they work on vette's but I would trust them with anything I own. I have known them for years and they are good people. if you call them Sheila will usually answer, tell her Julie sent you. She is a great lady and long time friend. I am sure she will let you in on the local Vette goings on. but you are welcome to come down here anytime and join the fun!

There is no such thing as "too far ... or takes too long to drive" when you're sitting in a vette!
