Top Flight Corvette, off Miramar Rd, was one of two shops, along with The Corvette Shop, recommended to me for a header install. I never made it to Top Flight's shop to check them out though.

I've heard they do good work, but The Corvette Shop wanted 8 hours (= $800.00) to install a set of "shorty" headers on my '04.

I decide to do it myself. I managed to install a tunnel plate and the headers in seven hours. That was on ramps, first Corvette header install, lunch break and two parts runs........

Just make sure you shop around.

Good Luck

Hey,

Excelsior Motorsports in San Diego... This guy is awesome... He owns a 2008 Z06 that he tests everything on... He has done everything on my car (Headers, Intake, Ports Intake and T-Body, Tune) My car is over at his shop right now getting Coilovers installed...

Ask for Kushan... Trust me, I did lots of research, this guy knows his stuff and is a real good guy...

Actually not that hard of a job, I did the ones on my C5Z by myself in the back of my shop with jack stands, (LG headers), I also installed an Elite Tunnel Plate and new plugs at the same time, started on a Sat morning at 9:00 and was driving it at 5:00, that was just taking my time and checking it twice. I enjoy turning wrenches so it was a fun for me. Not that hard to do.

I ordered a set of LGs last week. I will install them myself along with a CAI from Breathless and an Elite tunnel plate. I can't wait! My headers will be a few weeks though because I sent them off for Jet Hot Sterling coating

To add to my answer ... I think there are 2 or 3 most popular brands. I like the LGs but alot of guys have Kooks and American Racing. There are others too but I think those are the most common these days. I like the LGs because most dyno results show they produce torque lower in the rpms which is where I want it. They may not produce the peak horse power the Kooks may but I'm not looking for horse power numbers.

I agree, if you want it done right and want to avoid the "hack-job" that seems far too common with many of the "well know" shops these days, call Kushan @ Excelsior Motorsports.
You won`t find anyone more picky than me, after disappointing results from 2 other well know So Cal shops, Kushan is now the ONLY shop that I`ll let touch my car, in fact it too is there right now...........nuf said!
