Guys, I am in desparate need on a great engine detailer in LA/OC county area. My engine area is a disaster and I want someone that will not screw up the electronics or anything else for that matter. Any ideas?
Adam's makes an engine spray detailer called "In & out Spray" that works awesome. I've used it. Give it a shot. Takes minutes and a little wiping, but not much. 1/2 hour or less should do it with minimal wiping.

i have been detailing corvettes for the last 35 years (my own personal cars and friends). i last completed a 2002 convert. for one of the corvette club members (pacific coast corvettes). i use various chemicals and power washers, along with other preservatives for car show quality results. i have discovered a new cleaner for the new plastic covered corvette engine parts. go to your local harley davidson dealership and pick up " bike brite" and follow the instructions. cover the electronics with paper towls and encapsulate the areas with aluminium foil, and use a leaf blower (heavy duty) after hosing off the engine. unless the c-5,6 is realy cruddy, that should do it.
If your looking for someone to do it I am local. Swing by on a weekend evening and I'll give you a hand or can do it for a price. I posted mine so you can see the difference I did to mine.

Oh my goodness! This guy made it seem like my valve covers were turned on! They are super bright now! In fact he detailed the entire car...took him 14 hours. This guy knows what he's doing and has the patience for perfection. He worked on it as if it were his own car. He's in LA/OC Area. You should contact him to ask how much for the engine only. Worth every penny! www.shinetechautodetail.com
Here's the link to the write up he did on the entire car:
