Magstar... just replace your Hoosiers with RA1's or R888's... of course, you do that and you'll be running against me... just make sure you're good and ready to move aside when number 27 comes barreling down on ya
Are you signing up for Black again .......

I just ordered two new sets of ceramic brake pads and brake oil. I'll have a flush done and pad replacement before I go and bring the extra set and fluid to the race track.

I'm registered for May 1st.

I'm so stock (C5 Z06) that I don't even have a CAGS defeat .

It will be my first time at the track.

Is it worth it to sign up for the skidpad to do some car control instruction/practice?

Congradulations, you will have a complete blast.

I personally think you will have a full day and lots to learn without the skidpad .........

Adding you to the list Dick!!!!!

I would like to but I think I work that day and I burned up my vacation time. There is a chance I may have built up 8hrs worth by then, I'll find out. If so then I'll sign up for sure.

Try your best. Like most activities there is a lighter turnout on week days than weekends.

That is not an easy question to answer. It depends on where you are starting from.

If they have skid pad instruction do it.

But I think it is the drifting skid pad they are doing that weekend. Any time you can put in the car is a plus. But I think I would save that for later or one of the more formal schools.

It is 15 points as I recall for either one. Once you have one you might as well have two because points are the same.

Seriously... Captain454 is right... run Toyo R888 and you save 100 points! 185

But you'll need new wheels cuz the R888 only come in 18s for the rear... Look like you're getting new CCW wheels
Hmmm... if R888s are legal... Michelin Sport Cups should be too...

*Rule Change Request*

Oli/Howie, i would like to request that the Modified Class Tire Rule be changed from 100+ treadwear to 80+ treadwear.
This will help people with C6Z06s financially (not so much lap time wise.)

The 100+ rule allows people to run combo "race/street" tires i.e. the Toyo R888, Nitto NT01, etc. However none of the "combo" tires that meet the 100+ rule are available for stock C6Z wheels (19" rear).

The 80+ rule adds one tire to the list: the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup... still a combo "race/street" tire. (It's comes stock on the Viper and 911 GT2!). It's comparable to the R888, Nitto; it's not a 'full race' tire like the R6 or V710. This tire is available for stock C6Z wheels... thus not requiring drivers to buy new CCW or custom wheels.

This rule change will save drivers thousands of dollars.

*Note this rule change does not help me. I'm in Modified Class with or without the change*
