Default Project Problem Child update and ring gap question...

I found a new, larger shop to help me get the Project Problem Child II 406 back on its feet. I dropped the crank off to be polished and the block to be thoroughly cleaned and re-honed on Thursday at lunch time. I got a call TONIGHT at about 5:30 to let me know my stuff is ready! Unfortunately I no longer own a truck so I'll have to figure something out for Monday.

Jeez, I'm not used to that kind of quick turnaround time. I was expecting things to be done in late March.

Anyway this thing ate its bearings to they're all going to be replaced. The proprieter of the new shop took a good close look at all my rings. He says they're OK. They're SpeedPro plasma moly so they'd be kind of expensive to replace.

However, I'm going to check all the gaps before I reassemble anything. I figure if someone could overlook properly sealing the splayed studs on the main caps, it's possible the ring gaps were glossed over, too.

EDIT: I got the ring gap info I need from SpeedPro...
