Default Need advice - Electrical problem

The issue I am having is that the door opening buttons, dash lights, remote controls, starter switch, radio, and DIC are not working....but, the headlights and the horn do work.

My car has been in the shop for about 5 days having a roll bar installed. The battery has been disconnected for most of that time. The shop said that the battery was disconnected during all welding.
They charged the battery for about an hour....and it was showing 12 voltes....but the items noted don't work.

Is this normal when the battery is disconnected for so long....or do you think they fryed something when the MIG welded to the frame?

Thanks for the help.

Charley

Do you get any clicking sound when trying to start? If so the battery doesn't have enough juice. Check the battery cables again to make sure they are good and tight. Did they disconnect any other wiring, possibly a ground wire? Here's a link to Bill Curlee's elec. writeup, check #7 & 10 points on the map.

Thanks. It does make a clicking noise...I will have the shop charge the battery longer to see if that helps.

Thanks for the help.

Then I'm willing to bet that B the problem, C5's & 6's are notorious for not being able to start unless the battery is full or close to a full charge, lots of electronics involved. Let me know what happens.

Thanks for all of the advice. It turns out that with a good charge everything started working fine again. What a relief
