Default Preferred Brake Bleeding Method

What method do you guys prefer?

-pressure bleed, like the Motiv, very easy, one man, but the cleanup with denatured alchohol when done is a pain

-check valve bleeder screws, sounds pretty easy, do they work?

-hand held vacuum pump, like the Mityvac (metal, not plastic), works OK, again the cleanup

-old school, two people

Bob - If you need some help, I've got a strong right leg! Just LMK I should be able to reach to brake pedal.

DH,

With the speed bleeders, do you attach a 3/16"id hose that will drain to a small container, then loosen up the bleeder and pump the pedal? I guess the master should be full, before you start at each wheel. Is it that simple?

Keith,

I'm looking for a quick, clean & fast method with the least amount of clean up. It sounds like the speed bleeders might be the way to go. Thanks for the offer, I might take you up on it!

It's a ten minute job with the Motiv pressure bleeder; I attach a one pint bottle to the hose and bleeder valve for just a quick bleed or just a hose to the bleeder and let it hang in a oil drain bucket for a complete flush.

Yes, its that simple.

I actually gave one of those cheap plastic bags with the hose attatched, so there are no bottles to knock over or hose to flip out of the bottle ....no mess !!!!!!!

Thanks Paul, the Motiv is about $65 with the adapter, so I would just buy it. But I think I'm going the speed bleeder route, its very quick, clean and easy.

speed bleeders, they're always on the car and can't get misplaced or loaned out to your brother-in - law who never returns anything loaned.
