C5 conv trunk struts

C5 conv trunk struts
I ordered new trunk struts. When they came, they are 1" shorter than the ones on the car They tell me they are correct. the ones on the car are 12" overall length, the new ones are 11". Can someone with a C5 conv measure their struts for me, so I'll know which is correct.

Don't have a vert, but the Z should be the same. Measured at 12" fully extended.
I'm assuming the 11s will prolly work, but the lid will obviously not open as much. And if you do decide to install them, close carefully and slowly making sure they don't put the hinges in a bind.
On a personal note, I think I would tell the place you purchased them from that there full of kaka. That is unless someone with a vert chimes in and states that theirs are only 11". This might mean at some point a previous owner could have changed them prior to your ownership.
You also might want to post your thread on C5 general discussion. Might get a wider and quicker response.

compressed = 8 inches
fully extended = 12 inches
