Color correction

Sensitive areas are always taken into consideration on a delicate job like this and masked.

Refinished, color was right on but the texture was off, a bit too much fine peel or structure...

Structure and minor orange peel leveling on a repainted panel

Thoroughly scuffed properly with the utmost care, this area is now ready for the next step.

Proper restoration

50/50 shot

Protection!

I truly appreciate your comments above, and so long as you stay away from the "Duster" she will stay looking mighty fine! What a transformation as you will see from the photos, this Monterey Red Metallic just totally came back to life.
A total of almost 9 man hours were provided just to restore then preserve this gorgeous color....
Before photos showing the damage that has been created over time on this very soft tinted clear coat. IMO and I have 30 yrs of doing and seeing this over and over.....The Duster is just moving around these abrasive particles which just score your finish!

Time for a thorough prep and paint decontamination

Every Vette that comes thru gets some engine bay TLC.....

Up and close, here was my initial test area, the "goal" to level out all the surface defects taking the "least" aggressive approach. Here is a 50/50 photo showing the extreme difference in the first step using the proper procedure!

If you let Dave work his magic on your car, you'd have to change your CF user name to newC5...
