Default Northridge Corvettes & Coffee - Saturday, January 9th @9am

Come on out for the first meet of 2016. SE corner of Tampa & Rinaldi. We'll hang out until 10 then head out for a cruise, probably stopping for lunch around 11:30 or 12.

We are meeting as originally planned; hope to see you there.

I'm going. I just hope the weather is good. Crappy weather ruins my mood.

If you can't wait till then, come help crash the Porsche New Years Day Run.

Starts Friday morning at 7:00AM on the corner of Strathern and Gloria at TRE.

Coffee and tire kicking for about an hour and then the run.

Current forecast shows rain this week but dry weather on Friday and Saturday. Here's hoping it holds out.

True, I think I will sit this one out. Rain will make those roads milky and muddy. I hate the rain. But will be at supercar Sunday.

Should of done the Porsche run.
Could of been over 40 of them, looked like littte bugs, they are related to the VW.
Like they took a page out of our play book.
LT to Soledad to Aliso to AFH to 9 mile.
Even the Porsches that tried to get a jump on it by cutting in on LT from Placerita Cyn. saw nothing but Corvette taillights.
I was a good sport and waited for them at the street changes.

Did they have a nice mix of modern models and the older air-cooled ones? Unfortunately I was out of town.

Default The forecast has worsened...

Everyone be sure to check in on Friday to see whether or not this month's meet is still on. We'll make the final call some time on Thursday based on the forecast and road conditions at that time.

A variety of all models, some dating back to the 50's.
About 15-20% were not even Porsches.
It's a great run on the New Year, been doing it for the last 5-6 years back when Ray was running.

I was with a guy with a 350 Nizmo Z.
You probably know how that ended.

Hey Mike,

Can we push it back a week or two if Saturday is looking rainy instead of canceling for the month?

Please?

Definitely looks line rain. I don't think I'd want to even attempt to cruise them back roads after the rain from this week.

Rain will be almost non-existant with less than a 5% chance of rain, it will be dry. Now for the bad news, Lower Big T is closed, Upper Big T is closed, Angeles Forrest is closed, Lake Hughes is closed. I would stick to Little T, or a lunch jaunt to Ojai. Malibu will be muddy. Or meet for breakfast.

Current forecasts show a dry Friday and likely a dry Saturday morning. I say we meet as planned, and we can all decide together what to do. We could always just grab brunch at a nearby restaurant if no one wants to cruise.

RULES FOR ENGAGEMENT DURING THE EL NIŇO
First, we take every opportunity. Two days dry and Saturday no rain, what more do you want. It's better to get out early in the season, because it will just exasperate itself latter in the season.
Otherwise, we can all get a group discount on battery tenders.

Besides it's a free car wash day anyway, means you don't have to wash your car for this event because it's going to get dirty anyway.

Are you in or out?
