Any interest in buying one of those garage queen Z06's with super low miles. My neighbor has one, bet it doesn't have 5000 miles on it.
BUT IT IS ORANGE
Maybe you can use Uber to go with us till you get a Vette.
The one I may look at is Yellow. Not sure about that. I like that color, but the wife, not so much. They are replacing the battery right now and will call when fixed. With such low miles, it has sat and the batteries on the Vettes will not last long that way.
Nice motor Monkey.

Ah crap, yellow one is out. Has electrical issues that they can't fix with just a battery change.

OK guys, quick question. I am in Idaho and found a cream puff with only 1900 miles. Perfect condition. Will I have trouble transferring ownership to California and do I need to go to the Idaho DMV and transfer into my name before leaving?
Is there an issue with the car having under 7500 miles since I need to smog it anyhow?

You should have no problem. You need to Smog it here in Ca. Then when you go to CA DMV they will check the car to verify the VIN.

the catalyst sticker says the vehicle conforms to us epa regulations applicable to new passenger cars. Nothing about 50 state legal or California legal. It also has less than 7500 miles, but is a 2008. Still think there will be no problems? It currently has an Idaho plate.

Get a code scanner and plug it in to see if it will pass or fail smog.
Don't worry about the miles.

Still worried about the new car label as the smog sticker does not specifically say California. I know you know your used car stuff, but I am scared. Please walk me through this as if I am old>

What Is Considered a New Vehicle? California considers any vehicle with less than 7,500 miles on the odometer at the time of purchase or trade by a California resident or business, to be a new vehicle. This is true whether or not the vehicle has been registered in another state.

Been researching this for hours. I am screwed. Great car, but miles are too low and no Cali legal carb sticker. The search goes on.

When we bought a new 2015 car in Denver, I had to look a bit, but finally found a sticker stating Calif cert. the question is if Chev went to a 50 states emission sytem to save production costs, for '08, whether the car was sent to CA or not.

Maybe an '08 owner can snap a pic and tell you where to look.

Hooked up an OBD2 reader, and it shows EVA monitor status as red. Looked this up and it looks like it hasn't completed the check, and it could take weeks. A new or low battery could cause this also. In 2013 the history report shows a failed and then passed emission inspection. Think I will pass even though I got the other problems worked out (AAA says no problem and smog says he checks out of state all the time and doesn't care about miles).

I thought all C6's were 50-state legal.

technically they are, but in 2008 they stopped specifying California smog legal which is the issue.

If I ever add another sports car to my stable, it'll be a 96 coupe with the original LT4 engine.
