Carl, Safelite seems to be the most competitive. I just had two windshields replaced on work vehicles. Here is a tip....go online and start the process to get a Safelite truck out to your place for the windshield replacement. Set it up and and get the confirmation and then go back online and cancel it. You will receive an email shortly after that with a discount code...the first one was $25 and the final one was $50 maybe a day or two after the first one. Good luck!

Or you could just do it I did. Set an appointment, and the first windshield they brought me was cracked. They gave me 50 bucks off and a second appointment, then they bring a windshield with a bubble in the laminate. Another 50 bucks off, then set a third appointment in the bring you another windshield with a small defect and then you just pay for it and get it installed because you’re sick of dealing with Safelite. Lol

safelite quote is a tick under $700 installed!!!

another web source says $220 but not installed. I ordered the glass but have not heard back yet. For 500 bucks I guess I might be doing it myself. It's for a racecar and I got the tools and the right butyl rubber whatever you call it.

Aftermarket glass (Pilkington, or some ****) should be under $300 installed by Safelite. I paid 185 after 100 off....

If you are not worried about the HUD display on your racecar, you should be able to find one from Safelite for around $200. They spec an OEM supplier or some OE spec for the HUD display windshields.

safelite is kinda shady...
quote 1 was 699. Then you guys said like 300. I go back in get a new quote less 20 bucks 289. I buy it. Then they add tax...ok, Then 9.99 glass disposal fee, and 35 bucks for mobile install. Total 330.00

I can pick up glass from migrant 220 bucks and install myself. OK I'll give safelite the 100 bucks and be lazy.

You most likely will need the gasket molding. Most places wont replace the glass without a new window gasket, as GM recommends. When I had the windshield replaced on my C5, the GM gasket cost as much as the glass (maybe more). See if you can find a knock off gasket at Mid America (way cheaper than GM). Then again, if you only track the car, you may be able to get it replaced w/o the gasket. Just tell them the car is for the track only. Good luck!
