Route 66 Run to Eddie World and Calico Ghost Town
8:00 am to approx. 3:00pm
Those coming from the Palmdale Lancaster and areas west :
Meet at Krispy Kreme at 748 W. Rancho Vista Blvd, Palmdale, CA 93551.
Arrive early enough to leave by 8:30 am. Group will be lead by Antelope Valley Corvettes. They will know the best route across the desert to Victorville. Probably 138 to the 18.
Destination for meet up:
Denny’s and Richies diner in Victorville at 14244 Valley Center Dr, Victorville, CA 92392. Parking lot on side of and behind Denny’s.
Denny’s and Richie’s Diner are immediately off Interstate 15 at Palmdale rd. / 7th st. So easy access on and off the 15.
Those coming from the Victorville area and points south meet at the Dennys/Richies diner at the address above anytime before the time we will leave, 10:30 am. I will be there at 9 am or maybe a bit before so if anyone wants to get there early for some eats, coffee or snack etc. That would be great.
We had planned for a breakfast at Richies. But since this will be a longer day and run for a lot of people, as we have added the Calico leg, we have decided to not spend as much time here. But if you want to pick up something to eat or drink etc at either Richies or Denny’s, it’s still possible but you might want to get there a little early to have time. Richie’s is a cool place.
We will leave for Eddie World at 10:30 am. I will be leading. And drive old route 66 to Barstow and then get on the 15 to Eddie World. To arrive there some time on or before 11:30 am . For some lunch, (the have sandwiches, salads, pizza, sushi, jerky, coffee bar, snacks and all the usual drinks. Plus ice cream. Oh yeah. … they have a huge amount of candy selection. It’s some 26,000 sq. ft. of interesting and brand new roadside stop … just unique. We expect to leave by around 1pm or so for Calico Ghost town for those that want to go, it’s only a few minutes down the road. We will get a group rate and since the lead car, which will be me, will have to pay. We will collect the monies at Eddie World, group rate is $5.00 per person, for those wishing to go. Besides Eddie World, should be another good photo op place.
The owner of Eddie World is very enthusiastic to have us there and wants to be informed as to when we will arrive and how many so they can be prepared. Also after talking with Calico Ghost Town superintendent to get the group rate, would like to know how many as well …. So please RSVP as soon as possible.
This will be a really fun day to spend with fellow Corvette enthusiasts.

Thanks Jon and Brian for organizing the tour. It was very nice meeting you all. We were the last to leave Ghost Town.
