Fun Scenic Drive in L.A. County
If any of you have never driven your Vette around the scenic Palos Verdes loop, do it. Go on a very clear day, maybe after a recent storm, or with offshore winds, and you'll be amazed at the coastal beauty. I started in downtown San Pedro and connected to Palos Verdes Drive, continuing all the way around until it ended in the very nice beach area of Torrance. There's scenic turn outs and some walking trails on the west and north side of the P.V. loop drive. Lots of cafes in the Torrance Beach area too. This fun short drive is definitely worth it.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll check it out. You are right about going after rain - boy, it's been beautiful and clear when the rain stops.

One of the sites you'll see on the P.V. loop...
This was taken the end of March...There's a lighthouse in the background that has an interesting story.

This is a route I mapped from the Porsche Experience Center in Carson. See" Morning Shift" post in this section.
The route also snakes around the PV Golf course, up past the La Venta Inn then back down PV Dr North. One of the best views of the Santa Monica Bay and coast, known as "The Queens Necklace", is had just past the La Venta Inn. (Via Del Monte & Paseo Del Sol). Drive thirsty my friends!
