I am new to this forum. I recently purchased my first Corvette, a new Z51. I live in southern California and am interested in taking some driving lessons to learn how to really enjoy my new car. If you can recommend a school in the so Cal area, I would appreciate it. Thank you.
Olitho would be a great Vette instructor, but if he is not available....
I'd consider instruction at an AX from an instructor that could give you tips/rides in a similar car.
AX is good for low speed car control practice.
Might find an AX event at Cal Speedway parking lot in Fontana.
When you are confident at car control then go to the big track and learn to drive in traffic.
I would not let any instructor drive your car instead have them ride with you and at the same time you should ride in your instructor's car.
Speed Ventures, the Porsche Club of America (PCA), and BMW CCA are all good groups to run with. The PCA and BMW CCA are Much more structured but SV is still good even if you're new to the sport.
