We just returned from the ALMS race this weekend and want to thank everyone for making this event one for the recordbook! The Corral, the food, the good friends, the autograph session today!! Thanks to all who put this event together again :grouphug: Who would believe its only 3 weeks until Monterey. :hurray:
I am sure the Ferrari's will try and get their car to run a bit better than today. They had some bad luck with the full course yellow's ... always getting right behind the pace car. But that's racing. It was a textbook race for our Corvette team. Looking forward to Monterey.
Question? Why didn't the Corvettes get to drive around the track like some of the other clubs? The guys at Infinion didn't know why and they told me that the Vette group was THE largest group there. :hurray: :hurray:

I don't think anyone asked Chevrolet about doing setting it up for us.
After what didn't happen with the Friday Carvan to Berkeley, the track may have done something like this to make up for their screw up. But no one that I know asked our caravan host about it.
We did it about 3 or 4 years ago and it was very cool.
The word back in 2001 was that since Dodge took over sponsorship of Sears Point, Chevys wouold not be able to do a parade lap. If you noticed, one of the groups was all D-C products (Vipers, Intrepids, and PT cruisers).
Like Ray said, I don't think anyone asked this time.
After our fantastic turnout yesterday, we may have some clout with ALMS. We should try to get a parade lap at Laguna Seca!
I just got home. As soon as I can I will try to post some pics.
